Description After moving to their farm with their two boys in 1995 and trying their hand at a few different crops including New Mexican type chillies, Aard and Eve Brink obtained Organic Certification in 1998 to fill a niche in organic chilli products. To achieve a healthy and tasty crop, it soon became clear that soil fertility was the key to success and since 1998, a soil testing and maintenance program has been in place following the Albrecht method of soil mineral balancing. In 1999, their emphasis turned to growing stringless beans, mainly for the Perth market, and since they started trading at the Albany Farmers Market, their little home garden has evolved into a true organic market garden with a small winter range of vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and leeks, and a growing summer range including chillies, beans, beetroot, lettuces, zucchinis, cucumbers, rocket, parsley, basil, eggplant, capsicum and tomatoes (also used in their "Clearly Organic" pasta sauce). Fruits are Apples, Pears, Plums, Oranges & Mandarins
Sadly we have made the hard decision to withdraw from horticulture and the market.
We have had a fabulous 16½ years trading in the market and have valued your friendship over that time.
Many thanks for all your support.
Look forward to seeing you in the market as customers in the future!!
